The events take place in Japan during the Edo period. A young warrior named Hiroki embarks on a journey to confront the people responsible for destroying his village. You will have to fight mainly with people. But sometimes there are bosses in the form of mythological supernatural beings.

Hiroki can strike opponents with a sword, as well as use various melee attacks. Light attacks are very fast but don't do much damage. Heavy attacks are slow but strong.
