Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is a first-person shooter, the sixteenth game in the Call of Duty series.

Events take place in our days. The fight against terrorism is at the center of the scenario. The main character has to take part in military actions, the prototypes of which were real events, including in Syria and Ukraine.

There are several active parties in the game: special forces of Great Britain and the United States, Al-Qatala (an analogue of Al-Qaeda and ISIS), Urzikstan militia (an analogue of the SSA or YPG), the armed forces of the russian federation. Actions take place on the territory of a number of countries, including the fictional Kastovia (similar to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine) and Urzikstan (Syria). The Russian armed forces are depicted truthfully in the game. On the basis of the alleged fight against terrorism, they invade Urzikstan and start a policy of terror against the local population.

In terms of gameplay, the game is a classic shooter, characterized by a detailed game world. In addition to the single story campaign, there is a network multiplayer game mode.
