Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a single-player third-person role-playing action game.

The story begins on an isolated island. Its inhabitants suffer from a sorceress. Every year, on the same day, she writes a smaller number on her monolith, after which people whose age corresponds to this number disappear on the island. The islanders send expeditions in search of the goddess, unsuccessfully trying to kill her and stop their extermination.

The player controls the members of the next expedition. The gameplay consists of exploring locations, searching for useful items, improving the characters' combat skills, and fighting enemies. A feature of the combat system is its step-by-step nature. Team members take turns attacking enemies and then dodging their attacks. They have at their disposal edged and firearms, as well as magical abilities.

The game world is very beautiful and colorful. In combination with an interesting story and good music, it creates a great experience of the gameplay.
