Death Stranding is a third-person action adventure.

Events take place in the future. A cataclysm occurred on Earth, as a result of which living conditions completely changed. The world is divided by the Time Loop. Ghost monsters are everywhere. There are "rains of time" that accelerate events, aging and other processes. Cities are surrounded by high walls and exist separately.

The game world is detailed and open for free movement. The main character, Sam Bridges, is a courier who delivers goods between cities. By chance, he becomes a participant in an exciting adventure in which he is assigned one of the main roles. The future fate of mankind depends on the ending of this adventure.
