Still Wakes the Deep is a tense first-person horror game with realistic graphics. The story takes place in the 1970s on an oil platform in the sea off the coast of Scotland. The player has to survive a violent storm that destroys the platform, as well as the presence of a monstrous creature that has entered the ship.

The game does not have a combat system. The player can only rely on his or her own survival skills, intuition, and ability to quickly solve various puzzles.
