Tempest Rising is a classic real-time strategy game.

Events take place in an alternate reality. After the appearance of an unusual plant, which is a valuable resource, several main factions fight for it. The player plays for one of them. The gameplay consists of collecting resources, building and developing your base, creating an army, and fighting other factions.

All factions use two main resources: energy and money. Energy is generated by power plants. If there is not enough of it, the entire base will work slowly. Funds are obtained from the aforementioned special plants that exist in limited areas and gradually grow after harvesting.

The single-player story campaign consists of 11 missions. There is also the possibility of multiplayer network play.
