Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince - is a platform game from the Trine series.

The game is not 3D, but everything looks very nice. The game world is represented by colorful 2.5D locations, from breathtaking ruins and tombs inhabited by ghosts to peaceful birch groves and green forests. All this is complemented by an excellent soundtrack.

The main characters are the knight Pontius (hand-to-hand attack), the thief Zoya (distance attack) and the magician Amadeus (a magician who can move objects and create new ones). Characters act in a team, interacting with each other. The player can switch between them and, using the advantages of each of them, solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, fight enemies and solve other tasks. During the game, characters can be improved by discovering new skills.

According to the plot, Pontius, Zoe and Amadeus go in search of a young prince who suffers from nightmares. These nightmares are a threat to all of humanity, because thanks to the magical talents of the prince, they can penetrate from the world of dreams into reality.

The game can be played both alone and with friends online or in local co-op.
