The Alters is a single-player sci-fi survival simulator.

Events take place on a remote hostile planet. The player takes on the role of a space miner. He has a spaceship at his disposal, which serves as both a base of operations and a home. The player moves the mobile base across the planet's surface and tries to avoid deadly radioactive solar radiation.

Survival mechanics involve exploring the planet, extracting resources, maintaining functionality, and developing the infrastructure of your base. A central element of the game mechanics is also the creation of biological clones of the protagonist, which serve as crew members.
